Congratulations to four Liberty senior student athletes from fall sports who were recognized by the Bakersfield Jockey Club: Maya Barron, Kailani Lua, Cole O’Brien, and Aubrey Thompson. They were honored with a breakfast and awards ceremony at Hodel’s on October 31 with former Foothill teacher and coach Ned Permenter as guest presenter.

Congratulations to our Band, Drumline, and Color Guard for another 1st place finish in division 4A at the CSBC Northern California Division Championships in Visalia. In addition to 1st place with a score of 89.50, they earned a High Percussion, High Music Effect, High General Effect, and High Visual Effect. Also earning an award for the best soloist in the division, was Sarah Chang (Clarinet).

Senior yearbook ads can be purchased by parents or family members to recognize graduating seniors, and are a popular way to celebrate your student’s hard work, accomplishments, and high school graduation. Seniors ads can be purchased and designed at jostens.com by December 1.

Girls tennis finished the season as runner ups in the CIF DI Central Section Champions this past Tuesday in San Luis Obispo. The girls had a great season winning the league title and the Lynch Cup. In addition, Kailani Lua and Naomi Pavletich were runners up in the D1 Central Section Double Championship this past Saturday in San Luis Obispo. Great season, Pats!

Football plays tonight at 7pm in the DI Central Section Playoffs vs. Central. This is a home game in Patriot Stadium. Let’s go Pats!

Girls Water Polo made history by being the first KHSD school competing in a Water Polo CIF final. Unfortunately, the Pats lost in sudden death after two 3-minute overtime periods. After a great season, they finished as the DIII Central Section Runner ups. Nice job Pats!

After school tutoring is available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30. In addition, the Library is also open for students until 4:30, Tuesday - Thursday. Students also have access to Tutor.com 24/7 through their Canvas accounts.

Our Finance office has an online store where you can purchase ASB stickers and pre-order homecoming shirts. Learn how to create an account by clicking the "Help" button. The store can be found linked from the "Homecoming Shirts" button on the top of the Liberty webage or in the Activities menu.

Liberty PATS is spreading holiday cheer while raising funds for our athletic scholarship account. Please consider visiting our store and making a Christmas tree, wreath, or garland purchase. Items will be available for pickup on Friday, December 1st. The store closes tonight, Monday, November 13 at 8pm.
