Seniors will leave for Grad Nite after the mandatory graduation seating meeting on Tuesday morning, May 28. Please check this story for the link to the Grad Night Rules and Reminders along with the itinerary! Liberty is requiring clear bags only and NO drinks on the bus. Bottled water will be provided for the bus ride. Food is ok.

Congratulations to Cole O’Brien for being honored as one of Kern County’s five male Tyack Award finalists. The prestigious Tyack Award is presented to Kern County’s most outstanding senior athletes.

The Liberty golf team finished 3rd in the Central Section Boys Golf tournament and 1st out of the Kern County teams. In addition, Ty Weaver placed 4th with a score of 71 and qualified for regionals.

Friday May 10, 17, & 24 are two-hour early outs. Since the lunch period is at the end of the day, students will be released from campus at 12:48pm, at the end of 7th period. The cafeteria will serve a free lunch during the lunch period from 12:48 – 1:15. To align with all district schools who are also on a two-hour early out, school busses will leave around 1:20pm.

Liberty sends multiple athletes to this Saturday’s CIF Central Section Master’s Meet at Buchanan where they can qualify for the state meet!

Liberty baseball is the number two seed in the CIF central section DI playoffs. The patriots host Tulare Western tonight at 4:30pm. Since this is a CIF event, admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students (ASB stickers are not valid for playoffs).

Liberty Softball is the eleven seed in the CIF central section DI playoffs. The Patriots play at Bullard Wednesday, May 15 at 4:30pm. Since this is a CIF event, admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students (ASB stickers are not valid for playoffs).

The Liberty Chamber Singers have labored long and hard to prepare the famous comic Gilbert and Sullivan opera The Pirates of Penzance for performance this month. Performances are at 7 p.m. on May 17, and 18.
