Congrats to Christian Edwards (track), Camryn Perdue (volleyball), Sophie Stanley (soccer), and Jaycee Watkins (soccer) who signed to contine take their talents to the next level!

Three long-time Liberty teachers are retiring in June: Yearbook adviser and English teacher Pete Tittl, art teacher Linda Brown, and math teacher Matthew Smith. Together they have 98 years of teaching experience, including 62 at Liberty.

Twenty-five members of the Liberty Art Club took a field trip to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art Tuesday, May 2. The museum is located in downtown Santa Barbara and is home to both permanent and special collections, including Asian, American, and European art that spans 4,000 years from ancient to modern.

CTEC is offering one Summer School High School course for current Sophomores and Juniors. "Intro to Sport's Medicine" It is an introductory course covering the basics of both personal training and injury care management. This is a 6-week course.

The swimmers performed well at the Central Section Championships held at Clovis West on May 5 & 6 including 1st place medals going to Samara Moseley in the Girls 50 Free, Sophia Munoz-Rodriguez in the 100 Fly, and a 1st Place 200 Free Relay with Gracie Dean, Samara Moseley, Rylie Moxham, and Sophia Munoz-Rodriguez. THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN - The No. 2-seeded doubles team, featuring Bradley Campoy and Keen Nguyen advances to the CIF D1 Central Section Championships at Immanuel High School on May 12 & 13.

On Friday, over 500 swimmers competed from teams across Bakersfield at the Kern Aquatic Complex for five league championships. The Patriots broke six meet records in route to winning both the boys and girls River League Championships.

Art students created works in honor of Earth Day with an exhibit outside and inside the art classroom at lunch last Wednesday, April 26. Students from beginning and intermediate classes along with AP Studio Art displayed their work.
