The concert includes solos, small groups and choir pieces. Approximately 35 songs will be performed, ranging from early country, bluegrass and “hillbilly” music to current country artists, according to choir director Tim Williams. “Country music is part of our culture,” Mr. Williams said. “We should all know some of it, even if it isn’t our daily choice in music.”
The concert begins at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, with a dinner break midway through the concert. During the dinner break, Ben and Jerry’s will sell a variety of food truck items, including burgers, fries, chicken strips, ice cream, shaved ice, and popcorn.
While there’s no required country-western dress code for the concert, Mr. Williams said, “We won’t kick anyone out for wearing boots and hats.”
