Cap and Gown delivery is tomorrow at lunch outside the activity office! Cap and gowns not picked up will be available the next day in the activity office. Don’t delay as Seniors wear their gowns to Patriot PRIDE Closing Ceremonies next Friday!

Congratulations to all the Liberty athletes who were recognized as BVarsity all-area team members! These include Emma Fredrick, Basketball Player of the Year, and Jaycee Watkins, Soccer Defensive Player of the Year. First team players include: Hayden Gehring, Jaiden Gore, Sophie Stanley, Dallas Williford, Aiden Albertalli, Brady Young, Sophia Machado, Delilah Robles, Faith Curry, Kaylee Batten, and Deshawn Usochu. In addition, congratulations to Girls Basketball Coach of the Year, Damarius Akins, and Girls Soccer Coach of the Year, Brandon “Boog” Hearron.

Liberty’s ASB community service project for this school year is providing resources for animals at Kern County Animal Services and Marley’s Mutts, a Kern County dog rescue organization. This past week students enjoyed de-stressing with puppies after presenting a donation to support their organization.

A team of Liberty film makers took home three awards at the Kern High Film Festival held at the Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) this past Thursday evening. In addition to 2nd overall, they won awards for Best Sound and Best Lighting.

For the first time in school history, the Liberty Drumline advanced to the WGI Regional Finals. After a 4th place finish on Saturday in the Pyramid at Cal State Long Beach, the drumline was invited back to perform in the finals on Sunday.

THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN - The Liberty boys tennis team captured the Lynch Cup Division I title on Saturday at Stockdale. The Patriots closed out a perfect 4-0 run through the two-day round-robin tournament, edging Bakersfield Christian 7-6 in a tiebreaker after the two teams were locked at 3-3 after six matches.
