Hey Pats! Our “Patapalooza” Airband is coming soon on March 12th and 13th. You can find band applications in the Activities Office and they are DUE, with music on a flash drive, by January 21st. Auditions will be in February, but make sure to stop by the activities office now to get your application.

Liberty High School hosted the 3rd set of qualifying matches in the Kern Robotics League last weekend. One of Liberty’s teams is first in the county. Click the “Read More” link to learn more about the teams and see photos from last Saturday’s competition.

Liberty's We the People team competed last weekend at a day-long regional competition at Golden Valley High School. The Liberty team, consisting of seniors, competed against multiple Kern County schools in knowledge of the United States Constitution.

Beginning after Labor Day, the Library will be open from 3:30pm to 4:30pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for tutoring by teachers and students from our honor societies. Also, students can use this time to study, use chromebooks or printer, and check out books.

Tutor.com, part of The Princeton Review company, is a 24/7 online tutoring platform that is available to all KHSD students. Students can access this service from each of their teachers’ Canvas courses OR from the Help button on the Canvas main page. Students can get help with whatever they are working on, whenever they need it, from a real person, not a robot.

The Synergy ParentVUE app allows parents to monitor their student's grades and attendance. If you have your student's 6 digit UID (student number) and birthdate you can set up your account remotely. In addition, Mrs. Cavazos in the parent center can also help you in person, over the phone, or via email.

Canvas is a Learning Management System that many teachers use to post assignments, collect assignments, and display grades. It is also a great location for students who are absent to find out what they missed. Parents can access their student's classes via Canvas to see the same information students see: announcements, assignments, and graded assignments.

In the event that one of the K-8 feeder districts call a delay and KHSD does not, some bus routes will be delayed 2 hours. Please see the image/chart on this page to learn what bus routes are delayed if Rio Bravo-Greeley, Rosedale, or Fruitvale call delays but Kern High does not.
