The Patriot Way refers to our P.R.I.D.E. core values. Each letter represents one of our values, a guiding belief and principle that guides our actions.

During the last week of the semester, we are on a final exam schedule Wednesday – Friday, December 18-20. On final exam days, two periods meet each day and school is out at 1:08pm. A free grab and go lunch is served during the break between finals at 10:35-10:55am. Breakfast and an after-school snack is also available. On Friday, the office will close at 1:30pm. Liberty starts at normal time today (8:30am). However, since Rosedale called a fog delay, all Liberty bus routes are delayed by two hours. Students who ride the bus will arrive toward the end of the 1st final of the day which is Period 6. There will not be a need to clear absences since students will arrive during the first final exam period. If your student is late due to the bus delay, please have them check in with their teacher about making up the final.

The FAFSA is now open. Liberty's Student Success Coaches are available during the school day to assist students in completing the application. They are calling out students and communicating through Canvas to offer support. All seniors attending 2-year or 4-year universities should fill out the FAFSA to make they have access to possible financial assistance, even for families who may not think they are eligible.

An ASB sticker attaches to a student ID card and provides free admission for the student to all Kern High athletic events (except playoffs). It also provides discounts to school events such as Formal and Prom. Buy it now to get into all our volleyball, football, and basketball games for free. Students or parents can purhcase the sticker online or at the Finance Office.

Join us for an exciting Christmas concert tonight featuring the talented soloists, small groups, and choirs of the Liberty Choir Program! Tuesday, December 10, @ 7 pm in the Liberty High School Performing Arts Center. General Admission is $5 general and $3 for students. All proceeds fund the Choir Booster Scholarship Fund.

Liberty welcomes our new guidance technician, Jordan Lewis, who runs our College and Career Center. Our schoolwide theme this year is PATS up; Never Down! Patriots strive to be up on positive habits to shape our future and break the harmful ones. This week is Responsibility Week with a drug prevention theme and activities including dress up days, a food sale day, lunch time activities and a rally. Congratulations to our girls tennis team for an awesome season! After taking first in league and being the best team in Kern County, they placed 2nd in the CIF DI Central Section Championship. Also, shout out to Kara Campoy and Hayden Gehring for taking 2nd place in the CIF DI Central Section Championship in doubles. Way to go Pats!
