Two Liberty High School students taking the Digital Marketing & Media Design program at the Kern High School District’s Career Technical Education Center, known as CTEC, competed in the SkillsUSA State Conference, placing in first and second place in their events.

Sixteen Liberty students participated in the annual Advanced Placement Statistics and Advanced Placement Calculus contests at Independence High School this past Wednesday. The contests are a simulated Advanced Placement exam for each subject.

On Saturday, April 5th, many Liberty students participated in tne 2025 prom at the Kern County Fairgrounds hosted by the junior class ASB students. There was something for everybody, from dancing, jenga, chess, and best of all, gelato.

Students connect with one another in Freshman Link building relationships and a sustaining culture of Everyone Matters at Liberty High School.

Liberty Percussion competed at the Winter Guard International West Power Regional last weekend at Los Osos High School and had their best performance of the season, earning their highest recent score at a WGI Event with an 84.613 and placing 6th out of 13 groups in Open Class.

Liberty High School’s News Show won Best News Broadcast in the Kern High Film Festival held this past Tuesday at the Fox Theater downtown. The award was for the Christmas News Show, Show 16, broadcast Dec. 17, 2024.

Liberty students strive to make a difference in the community.

Hundreds of incoming freshman students who will make up the Liberty High School Class of 2029, along with their family members, attended the annual Freshman Orientation this past Monday evening, almost completely filling the gym bleachers.

The hard work has paid off as the first ever Liberty robotics team will be headed to Dallas to compete in a worldwide competition May 6-8.
