In the event that one of the K-8 feeder districts call a delay and KHSD does not, some bus routes will be delayed 2 hours. Please see the image/chart on this page to learn what bus routes are delayed if Rio Bravo-Greeley, Rosedale, or Fruitvale call delays but Kern High does not.

It is fog season in the central valley. In the event a fog delay is needed, KHSD will make all efforts to call the delay no later than 5:45 A.M., in order to meet the 6:00 A.M. news report. Bus routes will run 2 hours later and school will start at 10:30am. Delays will be posted on the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) Alert Line website: alertline.kern.org.

The Kern High School District uses GoFan.co for fans to purchase tickets for athletic contests. We encourage all tickets to be purchased online prior to the game. Students with an ASB sticker get free entry. ASB Stickers are not valid for playoffs.

Liberty starts at normal time today (8:30am). However, since Rosedale called a fog delay, all Liberty bus routes are delayed by two hours. Students who ride the bus will arrive toward the end of the 1st final of the day which is Period 6. There will not be a need to clear absences since students will arrive during the first final exam period. If your student is late due to the bus delay, please have them check in with their teacher about making up the final.

The FAFSA is now open. Liberty's Student Success Coaches are available during the school day to assist students in completing the application. They are calling out students and communicating through Canvas to offer support. All seniors attending 2-year or 4-year universities should fill out the FAFSA to make they have access to possible financial assistance, even for families who may not think they are eligible.

An ASB sticker attaches to a student ID card and provides free admission for the student to all Kern High athletic events (except playoffs). It also provides discounts to school events such as Formal and Prom. Buy it now to get into all our volleyball, football, and basketball games for free. Students or parents can purhcase the sticker online or at the Finance Office.

Join us for an exciting Christmas concert tonight featuring the talented soloists, small groups, and choirs of the Liberty Choir Program! Tuesday, December 10, @ 7 pm in the Liberty High School Performing Arts Center. General Admission is $5 general and $3 for students. All proceeds fund the Choir Booster Scholarship Fund.
