Dear Liberty Families,
What a wonderful week it’s been at Liberty High! I continue to be inspired by the talent, energy, and heart that make our Patriot community so special.
Our band had an outstanding showing on Saturday, and I couldn’t be prouder of their performance. Every morning and afternoon, I love hearing their music fill our campus, it’s a joyful reminder of their dedication and the countless hours they put into perfecting their craft. Their hard work truly sets the tone for our school spirit.
Last week also brought one of my favorite events of the year, the annual Halloween dance hosted by ASB for our moderate/severe students. It was heartwarming to see so many smiles as students dressed up, danced together, decorated cookies, and enjoyed face painting. I’m so grateful to our ASB leaders for creating such an inclusive and joyful experience that celebrates belonging for all.
On Wednesday night, I had the pleasure of attending the PIQE graduation, where we celebrated parents who completed the Parent Institute for Quality Education program. Their commitment to partnering with Liberty to ensure their children are prepared for life beyond high school is deeply appreciated. We know that when schools and families work together, great things happen for students.
In athletics, our girls’ tennis team wrapped up an impressive season, falling by just one point in a hard-fought Central Section playoff match against Clovis West. They’ll now move on to compete in the individual rounds, congratulations, Patriots! Our volleyball team also battled fiercely in an incredibly close match against the top-seeded Clovis team. With the new round-robin format, they’ll host Centennial on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. for state seeding. I’m hearing from the volleyball community all over town that they’ll be there to cheer on our girls, let’s pack the gym and show our Patriot pride!
Our football program also ended the regular season strong, with Frosh/Soph and JV earning league championships and Varsity finishing second in league. This Friday night at 7:00 p.m., Liberty will host San Joaquin Memorial for a home playoff game. Let’s fill the stands and support our team as they make their postseason run!
Thank you for being part of what makes Liberty High School so special. Each week, I’m reminded that our success comes from the passion, perseverance, and partnership of this incredible community.
With Patriot pride,
