Patriot Family,
What an incredible Homecoming Week we’ve just experienced! I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of the families, staff, and students who dedicated their time, talents, and resources to make this week so memorable. An event of this magnitude simply wouldn’t be possible without the collaboration, enthusiasm, and generosity of our Liberty community.
Homecoming is so much more than a series of events; it’s a week filled with memories, laughter, and lessons that our students will carry with them far beyond high school. From the creative class performances to the unmatched school spirit displayed Friday night, it was a joy to see our students shine.
A highlight for me came Thursday evening before the run through, when our Activities Director, Mrs. Brooke Slayton, called all the students together. Nearly 500 strong, they united in a powerful school cheer. In that moment, I saw fierce competitors become one community, Patriots through and through, providing a positive experience for everyone involved.
Congratulations as well to our outstanding Homecoming Royalty Court. Each member represents what it means to live by our Liberty core values, students who are not only talented but also kind, driven, and well rounded leaders.
As we turn our focus to the week ahead, we are proud to cheer on our student athletes as volleyball and tennis move into playoff season. Volleyball, competing in Division I’s new round robin format, will travel on Thursday to take on top seeded Clovis, then return home to host Centennial on Tuesday, November 4 at 6:00 p.m. Meanwhile, our tennis team will host Clovis at home on Tuesday. We encourage everyone to come out and show your Patriot pride.
Thank you again for your unwavering support and for being part of what makes Liberty such a special place. Together, we continue to create a community of belonging, learning, and hope.
Your partner in learning and growing,
Leandrea Slayton
Principal, Liberty High School
