This week we are honored to recognize Camryn Yasenchak.

Liberty High School was buzzing with possibility during Career Day as students had the opportunity to explore careers, ask questions, and connect with professionals from our community.
We had a wonderful turnout of career representatives from a wide variety of fields, including health care, law enforcement, education, aviation, skilled trades, the military, public service, automotive, construction, and more. Students had the opportunity to learn what different careers look like day to day, what education or training is required, how professionals got started, and what advice they would give to someone beginning to think about their future.

On Wednesday morning, our seniors gathered on the football field for one of Liberty High School’s special traditions: Senior Sunrise.
As the sun came up over the field, our seniors came together to celebrate a milestone that truly marks the beginning of the end of this phase of their lives. For the past 13 years, students and their families have worked hard to reach this point. Now, with just eight months of high school remaining, the big moments, important decisions, and exciting opportunities are quickly approaching.
This is a year to make memories, celebrate accomplishments, and prepare for what comes next. Don’t miss out on anything important!

This week, Liberty High School came together to celebrate We Matter Week, a week filled with activities designed to spread positivity, build connections, and remind every Patriot that they have a place and a purpose in our school community.
Throughout the week, students had opportunities to participate in simple acts of kindness and encouragement, from fist bumps and complimenting a friend to giving high fives and taking part in activities that encouraged students to connect with the people around them. While the activities were fun, the message behind the week was even more important: every person matters, every voice matters, and each of us has the ability to make a difference in the lives of those around us.

This week we are honored to recognize Ruby Pimental.

On Friday, September 11, a small group of Liberty High School gathered to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11, through the planting of a Sugar Maple tree, the state tree of New York.
The tree will serve as a living memorial on our campus, reminding future generations of Liberty Patriots of the nearly 3,000 Americans who lost their lives that day and the countless others whose lives were forever changed.

On Friday morning, Liberty High School came together as a Liberty Family to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. During second period, more than 2,300 students and staff paused from their regular routines to reflect on the nearly 3,000 Americans whose lives were lost and the countless others whose lives were forever changed.
Students watched a special remembrance video before gathering together in the quad for a shared moment of reflection. With 25 American flags surrounding us, the Garrison Flag displayed, and the newly planted Sugar Maple standing nearby, our campus became a place of remembrance, reflection, and unity.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this past Saturday, Liberty senior and wrestler Alizza Jiménez had the opportunity to share a story that has shaped her life and offered hope to others facing difficult circumstances.
Alizza is a nine-year pediatric cancer survivor. At just six years old, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Her childhood quickly became filled with chemotherapy, medications, procedures, hospital visits, blood draws, and difficult days that no child or family should have to experience.
