Senior Information

Important Dates for Seniors 

 

Senior Signing/Awards: Wednesday, June 2nd: We will recognize all seniors attending a post-secondary institution, receiving academic and/or athletic scholarships and/or honor society membership beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the gym.  Students must complete the form accessed through the link below in order to be recognized.  We may have different sessions depending on the number of senior submissions.  Seniors will get a confirmation of their time and where to report along with details regarding check-in for parents/guardians (two per graduate).  Seniors must have completed the form by Thursday, May 27th, in order to participate.

 

Senior Finals: June 2nd & 3rd: Finals exams will be completed during the regularly rescheduled class periods over the span of two days due to the block schedule.

 

Senior Checkout: June 3rd & 4th: Senior will need to checkout in-person.  Seniors will be cleared through the Library, Finance Office, confirmation from each teacher of passing their required classes, and return the form (attached) to their counselor.  Students can start the process any day during the week of June 1st.  However, counselors will be available for final clearance from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 3rd, outside behind the Attendance Office windows.  On Friday, students will enter through the back of the Administration Building and can get final clearance from their counselor at any time between 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

 

Graduation Ceremony:

Wednesday, June 9th at 8:00 p.m.:

At this time, seniors are allowed four guests to the graduation ceremony inside the football stadium. All graduates and their four guests will check-in at the same time. 

The parents will sit on the field with the graduate and the two invited guests will sit in the stands.

There will be three check-in areas into the stadium according to the last name.

 
Check-in by last name areas are as followed:
  • A-F will check-in at the1900 Gate 
  • G-O will check-in at the Main Gate
  • P-Z will check-in at the Home-side west entrance. 
 
Please be aware that all safety protocols are still in place with social distancing and face covering.
 
Please Note: NO outside items such as balloons, blowhorns, beach balls, confetti, cowbells, or anything that would be a distraction during the graduation ceremony are allowed into the stadium. 
 
***Bring water it will be warm on graduation day***
 
Gates will open from 7:00pm-7:50pm

2021 KHSD Graduation Ceremonies


State guidelines allow in-person commencement ceremonies. We will celebrate our seniors by giving them a chance to walk across the stage, hear their name announced, and have a photo taken. Capacity and social distancing requirements require graduates to have no more more than 4 guests.


Guest Information


  • Each graduate is allowed 4 guests
  • 2 will sit with their graduate on the field, 2 will sit in the stands
  • Each graduate and guest pod will maintain 6 feet from other pods
  • Guests must arrive with their graduate
  • For guests who are unable to join in person, a livestream will be broadcast

Safety Guidelines

  • Masks will be required by graduates and attendees
  • Attendees should self-screen prior to attending the event so that those who have symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 do not attend
  • Encourage orderly arrival and exiting in manner that promotes social distancing
  • Hand sanitizer will be available
  • Signage reminds attendees of safety protocols
  • Diploma covers should be awarded in a way that avoids contact
  • To comply with 6-foot spacing avoid handshaking 
  • Speakers can remove masks at the podium, and graduates can remove their face coverings while crossing the stage and for the photo
