Patriot Family,
I am proud to share the accomplishments of our students on the recent CAASPP results. Their hard work, along with the dedication of our teachers and families, truly reflects the Liberty spirit of excellence. We set high expectations, and our students continue to rise to meet them. These results are a testament to what happens when determination, collaboration, and belief in every student’s potential come together.
In celebration of our academic achievements, I’m excited to announce the creation of Liberty’s Academic Hall of Fame. This new tradition will honor students with a medallion to be worn at graduation for students who have achieved “standard exceeded” on two of the three subjects tested: math, science, and ELA. We look forward to recognizing and celebrating these outstanding Patriots.
This week also brings an opportunity to honor someone whose vision and dedication helped build the foundation of our school, Pat Preston. When Liberty was built, it often took years for a stadium to become a reality. But Pat believed that our very first graduating class deserved to play on their own field. Through his leadership, determination, and even his own sweat, he rallied support to make that dream come true.
Please join us Friday night before the varsity football game as we pay tribute to Pat Preston and the legacy he created for generations of Patriots to come.
Friday night we’ll also be welcoming more than 100 Mini Pat cheerleaders to the sidelines to cheer alongside our incredible Spirit Team. I love any opportunity for our students to pour into the future generation of Patriots, helping them feel the pride, belonging, and joy that make Liberty such a special place.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, our school, and our traditions. Together, we keep building the legacy of Liberty High School.
Your partner in learning and growing, Leandrea Slayton Principal, Liberty High School
