Sponsored by Kern County Behavioral Health and Recovery, the SALT Walk brings people together to support awareness, hope, and recovery. Our students embraced the opportunity to serve, jumping right in to help with setup, assist throughout the event, and take care of cleanup afterward. Their willingness to serve wherever they were needed made a lasting impression on the event organizers.
Cassie Deras-Coker reached out to express her gratitude for the enthusiasm and joy our students brought to the day. She shared that, on behalf of herself and the other SALT board members, they could not thank Liberty High School’s wrestling team enough for their support. She was especially impressed by the number of students who volunteered, noting the wonderful mix of boys and girls who represented Liberty with such dedication. One wrestler even braved the heat in his letterman’s jacket for a while, proudly displaying the name “Lucky” on the back!
Our Just Serve Club, overseen by Michelle Lord, also returned to volunteer for the second consecutive year, continuing its commitment to serving others and strengthening our community.
We are incredibly proud of these students and the staff members who helped make this service opportunity possible. They demonstrated what it means to live out our PRIDE values, especially Dedication and Everyone, by showing up for others and making sure people felt supported and encouraged.
Thank you to our Spirit Teams, Just Serve Club, wrestling team, and staff for representing Liberty so well. Your actions remind us that sometimes the greatest impact comes from simply showing up, offering encouragement, and being willing to help wherever you are needed. We look forward to returning next year and hope even more Patriots will join us in making a difference!
