A special congratulations to Sehajpreet Kaur, who earned 1st place in JV Original Oratory, and Keaton Scheler, who earned 1st place in JV Informative Speaking. What a fantastic way to begin the season!
We are also proud of our other Patriots who stepped up to compete: Carlos Silva in Student Congress and Duo Interpretation; Ryan Datta in Duo Interpretation with Carlos; Dakota Serrano in Original Prose and Poetry; Apple Aquilina in Original Oratory; and Melody Gonzalez and Cheyanne Koster in Duo Interpretation.
Speech and Debate challenges students to think critically, communicate effectively, build confidence, and consider different perspectives. Whether delivering an original speech, interpreting a piece of literature, or participating in a congressional debate, our students are developing skills that will serve them well far beyond the competition stage.
We are excited to see this team continue to grow throughout the season! The Patriots are back in action on Saturday, October 17, at Independence High School, where they will compete in debate events.
Congratulations to our competitors, and thank you for representing Liberty with PRIDE. Go Patriots!
