The evening began with Liberty FFA leadership members reciting the FFA Creed in full dress and Liberty FFA jackets, setting the tone for an evening centered on tradition, leadership, and the opportunities ahead.
Kern High School District Ag Lead Teacher Clay Freeman spoke to families about the incredible growth of Liberty’s FFA program. With 26 years of experience in agricultural education, Freeman shared that he has never seen a program grow at such a rapid pace while experiencing so much early success. He attributed that success in large part to Liberty’s agriculture teachers, Maghan Miller and Amber Carter.
Miller has been instrumental in building the foundation of Liberty FFA, while Carter joins Liberty this year from Highland High School, bringing many years of experience developing students who have competed at the highest levels, including national-level contenders in a variety of agricultural areas.
The evening also gave families an opportunity to learn more about FFA, ask questions, sign up for ways to participate, and meet some of the people who make the program possible. Most importantly, it was a chance to celebrate the students and the growing Liberty FFA community.
We are excited about what this year holds for Liberty FFA and grateful for the families, teachers, community partners, and agricultural professionals who continue to invest in our students. The second annual FFA Family Dinner was a great reminder that the strength of this program comes from a community working together to help our students grow as leaders, learners, and future agricultural professionals.
