Freshman Ally Bennet concluded a remarkable debut season by competing in the 1600 meters at the state meet. Ally ran an impressive race, finishing in under five minutes, but came up just short of advancing to the finals. Her journey to state was one of the most exciting stories of the postseason, as she surprised even herself with a breakthrough performance and Central Section Championship in the 1600 meters to earn her place among California's elite distance runners. With three years still ahead of her, Ally's future is incredibly bright.
Liberty was also represented by the outstanding 4x100-meter relay team of Kaylen Voss, Allison Sons, Rylee Wheeler, and Raylee DeLouth. Qualifying for the state meet is a tremendous accomplishment in itself, and the quartet earned the opportunity to compete against the fastest relay teams in California. Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork throughout the season culminated in a memorable appearance on the state's biggest stage.
Competing at the CIF State Championships is an achievement reserved for the very best athletes in California. We are incredibly proud of Maddie, Ally, Kaylen, Allison, Rylee, and Raylee for representing Liberty with excellence, determination, and Patriot pride. Their accomplishments this season have set a high standard and provided inspiration for future generations of Liberty athletes. Congratulations on an outstanding season!
