Liberty Swimmers Compete Among California’s Best at State Championships

Leading the way for the Patriots was Sophia Munoz Rodriguez, who delivered an outstanding performance on the state stage. Sophia earned a 6th place finish in the 100 Butterfly and placed 9th in the 200 Individual Medley, competing among California’s elite swimmers. Her success highlights not only her talent, but also her relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Liberty’s relay teams also represented the school with pride and determination. The Girls 200 Medley Relay team finished 15th in the state, while the Girls 200 Freestyle Relay team also placed 15th overall, earning spots in the finals and showcasing tremendous teamwork and competitiveness.

Additional state qualifiers included:

  • Boys 200 Medley Relay – 24th place
  • Boys 200 Freestyle Relay – 24th place
  • Lucas Cuper – 23rd place in the 50 Freestyle
  • Migo Armas – 35th place in the 200 Individual Medley
  • Jillian Bean – 37th place in the 100 Backstroke

Every swimmer who qualified for the state championships achieved something remarkable. Competing at this level places these athletes among the very best in California and among the top high school swimmers in the nation. Liberty is incredibly proud of the dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship shown by our swim program throughout this memorable season.
