Liberty Students Honored at White Coat Ceremony

The ceremony highlights the unique opportunities and challenges within Liberty’s Biomedical PLTW pathway. The program is made up of a small group of highly motivated students who applied as incoming freshmen, often with nearly two applicants competing for every available spot. Students accepted into the program commit to four years of rigorous, hands-on, lab-based science courses in addition to completing their A–G graduation requirements. Due to the demanding nature of the pathway, many students even take summer courses to remain on track academically.

In addition to welcoming students into the program, the ceremony also recognizes those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance. Students who have completed at least three years in the Biomedical pathway without earning below a B were presented with a special certificate and award honoring their consistency, hard work, and academic excellence.

The White Coat Ceremony serves as both a celebration and a milestone, recognizing students who have chosen to challenge themselves while beginning their preparation for future careers in medicine, healthcare, and biomedical sciences. Liberty is proud of these students for their commitment, determination, and passion for serving others through science.
