Chris Barron brings more than two decades of coaching and educational experience to his new role. A valued member of the Liberty community since 2004, Barron has demonstrated a deep and consistent commitment to student growth, both in the classroom and through athletics.
Before joining Liberty, Barron spent four years at Ridgeview High School, where he began building his career as an educator and coach. Over the years, he has amassed 20 years of experience coaching high school football and 25 years coaching high school baseball, establishing himself as a respected and knowledgeable leader in both sports.
At Liberty, Barron has served in numerous coaching roles, including head coach at the freshman and junior varsity levels in both football and baseball, as well as assistant coach at the varsity level in both programs. He currently serves as the assistant head coach for the varsity baseball team.
Beyond athletics, Barron has taught a wide range of courses, including Health, Physical Education, Biology, Intro to Physical Science, PLTW Intro to Engineering Design, and PLTW Human Body Systems. His versatility in the classroom reflects his commitment to connecting with students across disciplines.
Barron’s connection to Liberty runs even deeper on a personal level. All three of his children are graduates of Liberty High School and participated as student-athletes, underscoring his strong ties to the school community and his personal investment in its continued success.
As he steps into this new role, Barron looks forward to supporting Liberty’s student-athletes, coaches, and programs while building on the proud traditions that define Liberty High School athletics.
