In AP Statistics, Liberty delivered a historic performance. The team of Keen Nguyen, Rocco Yanez, Siam Dano, and Elizabeth McMahon earned a first-place finish, while the team of Zachary Saiki, Carter Stiles, Lovie Peel, and Cayden Adams secured second place. This marks the best possible team finish for any school in the competition which is a remarkable accomplishment that reflects both talent and preparation. It’s safe to say that Wendy Wisheropp has every reason to be incredibly proud of these students.
The individual statistics competition was equally impressive. Keen Nguyen captured first place overall, followed by Rocco Yanez in second and Siam Dano in fourth. Keen and Rocco were awarded trophies and scholarships for their outstanding performances.
Liberty’s success continued in AP Calculus. The team of Spencer Lopez, Drake Medrano, Max Tuff, and Lauren Oberg took first place, while the team of Ben Nacke, Luke Baiamonte, Evelyn Orozco-Alvarez, and Henri Payette earned a strong third-place finish.
In the individual calculus competition, Liberty dominated the top spots. Spencer Lopez was the overall winner, Drake Medrano placed second, Max Tuff took third, and Lauren Oberg finished fifth. All four students earned trophies, with Spencer, Drake, and Max also receiving scholarships.
From top-to-bottom team success to standout individual performances, Liberty’s showing at this year’s competition highlights the strength of our math program and the dedication of our students. Congratulations to all of our Patriots for representing Liberty with excellence and pride.
