Just Serve Club Shares the Joy of Reading at Almondale

While the elementary students clearly enjoyed the visit, the experience was just as impactful for the Liberty students who participated. Many left inspired by the enthusiasm and energy of the younger readers.

Ana Reynoso-Solis shared, “The kids were so interactive and sweet! I would most definitely go every year.”

Isabel Sanchez reflected, “Seeing the smiles and enthusiasm from the younger kids made my day so much brighter. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have read to them.”

Natalie Nguyen added, “Getting to read to all the kids was so wonderful. They were all so lively and awesome.”

Several other Just Serve members also mentioned that returning to an elementary classroom brought back fond childhood memories of their own early reading experiences, reminding them of the importance of encouraging young readers.

Opportunities like this exemplify the mission of the Just Serve Club, to inspire students to serve others while developing a lifelong commitment to their community. Thanks to Mrs. Lord’s leadership and the enthusiasm of our Liberty students, a simple act like reading a story became a moment of connection, inspiration, and joy for students of all ages.
