Liberty Students Lead, Learn, and Inspire at the Max Capacity Connection Conference

Senior Brooke Chambless reflected on the experience, sharing, “It was exciting to present about an event we work so hard on and are so proud of. I loved getting to make connections with students from other schools. Their presentations inspired our team and I hope we also inspired others.” Brooke’s words capture exactly what the conference is designed to do, create connection and spark inspiration across campuses.

In addition to presenting, some members of our Spirit Team attended the conference and walked away energized with new ideas and perspectives.

“The Connection Conference was so much fun. It was cool to learn about different things that each school does,” said Gianna Garcia, sophomore on the Dance Team. “South High's presentation was really inspiring to me. I loved learning about how much they include their community into so many school events, and that is something I want to implement at Liberty. Overall, the experience was so much fun and extremely knowledgeable.”

Grace Faust, sophomore on JV Cheer, shared, “At the Connection Conference I was so inspired by a lot of the other schools’ demonstrations. It opened my eyes to what students are doing at other schools and made me realize how much Liberty could benefit from certain aspects of every presentation.”

Junior Lovie Peel of the Dance Team reflected on the powerful atmosphere of the day: “At the Leadership Conference, I learned about a lot of activities that occur at other schools. I loved South High's idea about reaching out to feeder schools in order to inspire minorities to be successful and hardworking. I truly loved the atmosphere that was created by all the leaders who were present. They all wanted to spread kindness, confidence, and encouragement, and that was truly inspiring to witness. I hope to be able to inspire others the same way they impacted me.”

Freshman Cambria Azimian of the Frosh/Soph Cheer Team is already thinking about next steps: “After attending the leadership conference, there are so many takeaways that inspired me that I would love to implement at Liberty. I think starting a community outreach event where we partner with feeder schools to showcase what the Spirit Team is all about while being good role models is a great idea that we can start right away.”

The Max Capacity Connection Conference was more than just a day of presentations, it was a reminder of the power students have to shape school culture. We are incredibly proud of our Patriots for representing Liberty with professionalism, heart, and vision. Their willingness to both share and learn reflects the very best of what it means to lead with purpose.
