Patriots Power Through Playoffs

The Liberty Boys Soccer team entered the CIF Central Section Division II playoffs as the #2 seed and has certainly lived up to that ranking. After winning three consecutive home playoff games, the Patriots have earned a spot in the Division II Finals this coming Wednesday at Mira Monte. The energy on campus has been building with each game as our boys continue their impressive run.

In the semifinal matchup against Righetti, it was a thrilling moment that secured their place in the championship game. The winning goal came off a perfectly timed header by a freshman standout, demonstrating both composure and confidence under pressure. The team’s grit and chemistry have been evident throughout the playoffs, and we look forward to cheering them on as they compete for a Valley Championship title.

On the wrestling mat, Liberty was also well represented this past weekend at the CIF Central Section Masters Tournament. According to Coach Paul Garcia, “This is considered one of the more competitive and challenging section-level high school wrestling events in California.” With 18 Patriots competing, 8 girls and 10 boys, our athletes faced some of the toughest competition in the state.

The Liberty girls team finished an impressive 6th overall, while the boys team placed 16th. Even more exciting, four Patriots have qualified to move on to the CIF State Championships this coming week:

  • Ronin Davis (190 lbs.)

  • Andrew Meyers (138 lbs.)

  • Delilah Robles (120 lbs.)

  • Brooke Aguilera (110 lbs.)

Qualifying for State is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the hard work, discipline, and perseverance these athletes demonstrate every day.

Congratulations to all of these athletes and coaches. We are so proud of you and your accomplishments and wish our soccer team and state qualifiers the very best as they continue their postseason journeys. Go Patriots!
