Red Shirt Competition Pushes PE Students to New Heights

What makes this competition especially meaningful is its rich history. Open to all PE classes dating back to 2011, the event maintains an All Time Top 25 list for each test, an impressive benchmark that highlights just how difficult these records are to break. Every year, students aim not only to compete against their peers, but also against more than a decade of Liberty athletes who came before them.

This year delivered unforgettable moments, particularly in the Pacer test. Landon Donnelly broke the long standing Pacer record of 95, previously held by Brad Bennett, with an outstanding 97 laps. Not to be outdone, this year also saw Brock Bennett, Brad’s brother, reclaim family bragging rights by setting a new Pacer record at an incredible 103 laps, a true testament to endurance and determination.

On the girls side, standout performances across all events reinforced the depth of talent and consistency required to reach the Top 25. Athletes such as Addison Ash, Allison Acosta, and Reagan Aakhus demonstrated excellence across multiple tests, earning their places among Liberty’s all time best.

The Red Shirt Competition continues to embody the spirit of PE at Liberty, encouraging perseverance, healthy competition, and pride in personal achievement. Congratulations to all students who stepped up to compete this year and to those whose names now stand among Liberty’s all time greats.
