Liberty brought home some awards, winning two first-place finishes in JV Lincoln-Douglas debate and two third-place finishes in Varsity Lincoln-Douglas debate. Said head coach Dave Ziegler, "All of our competitors today were first-time debaters, so to come in today and win against some top-shelf programs sends a message that the Patriots are back and ready for action. I'm so proud of all of these scholars!"
Bringing home the hardware for Liberty were Spencer Lopez (1st place JV LD), Izabela Miranda (1st place JV LD), Ali Bulford (3rd place Varsity LD), and Robert Clegg (3rd place, Varsity LD).
Liberty's next KRFL tournament will be on October 11 at Bakersfield Christian High School.
