Liberty is welcoming back the Ag program after 17 plus years. The Ag program, will be a Career Technical Education pathway, will be led by Meghan Miller who previously taught at Kern Valley. We will offer three courses this first year:
Freshman Year- Introduction to Ag, Food, and Natural Resources which meets the physical science requirement for graduation and college admissions.
Sophomore Year- Sustainable Agriculture which meets the life science requirement for graduation and college admissions.
Junior Year- Ag Communications which fulfills the elective requirement for graduation and college admissions.
During the 2026-2027 school year we will add Ag Government/Econ which meets graduation and college admission requirements as well as pathways which may include floral and/or animal science options. As the program expands so will the opportunities. The courses offered will be based on interest of both the teachers and students.
The Ag program allows students to participate in a variety of competitions, opportunities in raising livestock, and be part of the initial class of maintaining the Liberty garden. Please see your counselor and/or come to the meet in greet if you are interested in joining the Ag program.
