This past week Liberty Wrestling had five athletes compete in the California State Wrestling Tournament and our first ever Liberty wrestler medal at the state level. Coach Garcia is extremely proud of the entire team: “Our wrestlers, both boys and girls, have had a fantastic season. The girl’s team finished the highest ever in the Division II Central Section Tournament, placing 2nd and qualifying nine to the Master’s Championships. The boys also made history by qualifying 4 boys to the CIF State Championships and putting a Patriot on the podium for the first time.”

Chad Troxler finished 5th in the state of California in the heavyweight division. Coach Paul Garcia states, “Senior Chad Troxler made history and raised the bar for our future Liberty wrestlers by placing 5th and earning over 100 varsity wins in his 4-year varsity career.”
