Patriot Family,
This week we celebrated our 2nd Annual Read Across Liberty Week, and it was inspiring to see students so enthusiastic about reading. One of the highlights was watching students share that excitement with one another and with younger students in our community. Moments like these remind us how powerful reading can be in bringing people together and creating a culture of curiosity and learning on our campus.
We also had an exciting week in athletics as our boys soccer team competed in the state playoffs against Palisades High School down south. The Patriots showed incredible resilience, battling back from a 0–1 deficit to tie the game in the final minute and force overtime. In the closing moments of the 15-minute overtime period, we had a tremendous shot that bounced off the crossbar, sending the match into a penalty kick tiebreaker where our season ultimately came to an end. While the result was tough, I could not be more proud of the heart, determination, and sportsmanship our team displayed all season and the way they represented Liberty.
Thursday night we had the pleasure of welcoming the incoming Class of 2030 to Liberty with the first of three events designed to introduce families to our campus. We had an outstanding turnout at Academic Family Night, where a panel-style conversation encouraged families to begin thinking about the pathways and communities they hope to be part of during their time at Liberty. It was a great start to welcoming our future Patriots.
Please encourage your students to stay focused, to be present, and to push through to spring break on March 28th. It is right around the corner!

Just Serve Club Shares the Joy of Reading at Almondale
Service and literacy came together in a meaningful way this past Thursday as members of Liberty High School’s Just Serve Club visited Almondale Elementary to read with younger students. A total of 18 Liberty students participated in the visit, spending time sharing stories and spreading their love for reading with the elementary classrooms.
The experience was made possible through the leadership of club advisor Mrs. Michelle Lord, who consistently creates opportunities for Just Serve students to connect with the community. Through these experiences, students not only give back but also grow in their understanding of service, civic responsibility, and the power of small acts to make a meaningful impact.
