Dear Liberty Families,
This past week was a meaningful reminder of what makes our school community so special. Through our Unity Week activities, we celebrated the strength found in diversity and the importance of creating spaces where every student feels valued and empowered to be their authentic self. From student-led events to shared conversations and celebrations of culture, our campus was filled with pride, reflection, and connection. It is inspiring to see our students embrace one another’s stories and recognize that our differences are truly what unite us.
It is also my favorite time of the season, playoffs! The energy on campus has been electric as our student-athletes continue to compete at the highest levels.
Our girls soccer team hosted SLO in an unforgettable quarterfinal match that went into overtime and ultimately to penalty kicks. In a thrilling finish, our Patriots were victorious, earning a trip to Buchanan to face the number one seed. After a hard-fought battle, they came up just short with a 1–2 loss. We are incredibly proud of their determination, grit, and heart throughout the season.
Our boys soccer team continues its impressive winning streak with a true team effort on display each match. They have earned a spot in the Central Section Division II Finals and will compete this Wednesday at Mira Monte. We are cheering them on as they chase a championship title.
Wrestling also had a tremendous showing at the Masters Tournament this weekend. Two of our boys and two of our girls have qualified to compete at the state level this week. This is an outstanding accomplishment that reflects their hard work and dedication. We wish them the very best as they represent Liberty on the state stage.
Beyond playoffs, I am looking forward to FFA Week and the exciting activities planned for our campus. Students can look forward to a petting zoo, a farmers market, and even staff members volunteering to be pied in the face. I will admit I am a bit nervous about that one, but I am hoping at least the pie is tasty!
Spring sports are officially underway, the weather is beginning to cooperate, and there is a renewed energy that comes with this time of year. It is a season of growth, opportunity, and celebration.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Have a wonderful week ahead.
