Patriot Family,
As we wrap up the semester, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible accomplishments of our Liberty High students. I am so proud to be your principal and to witness the growth, determination, and heart our students show every day. From outstanding achievements in the classroom, to athletics and fine arts, to the countless ways our students have represented us in the community, this semester has been remarkable. So many teams, clubs, and classes have chosen to demonstrate the Power of One, making a real difference in the lives of others.
This week was full of highlights. On Wednesday, we celebrated our student-athletes signing their letters of intent. This accomplishment requires years of dedication and sacrifice not only by the athlete and coaches, but the family as well. This was a proud moment for these students, their families, and our school. I am also thrilled to announce that our We the People team has qualified for the state competition in February which is an incredible accomplishment for these students. Monday was a joy as well, seeing all of our freshmen working hard and focused during Cram for Finals.
As we head into the holiday break, I wish our students, staff, and families a restful and safe time filled with joy. School will resume on Monday, January 5.
Thank you for helping make Liberty High a place where excellence, kindness, and service thrive. Happy holidays!
Your partner in learning and growing,
Leandrea Slayton Principal

Liberty Strong: Making a Difference Together
At Liberty, we believe deeply in our core value, the Power of One. The idea that one person, one choice, one act of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This week’s stories are a powerful reminder that when individuals act with heart and purpose, their impact ripples far beyond a single moment or place. They also reflect the E in our PRIDE core values, Everyone, because at Liberty, every person matters. We want all to feel blessed, loved, and seen, and our students and staff consistently go above and beyond to make that a reality. Whether through service, compassion, or stepping up when someone is in need, the Power of One is alive and well across our campus and community.
Principal Leandrea Slayton said, “I am incredibly grateful to the staff and students who reached out with amazing acts of service across our campus and beyond. These moments remind us that Liberty is more than a school, it’s a community.
