This week’s Patriot Update also has information tomorrow's Kern County College Night at Mechanics Bank Convention Center, college reps visiting Liberty this week, and an upcoming free college tour to UC Santa Barbara.

PSAT Registration
The PSAT is great practice for the SAT and results come with feedback on strengths and areas of improvement. In addition, juniors can qualify for the national merit scholarship. Sophomores and juniors can purchase the exam for $18 at the Finance Office. The exam will be administered online this year in the Library on October 22, 23, or 24. California Scholarship Federation (CSF) Applications DUE
Attention 10th, 11th, and 12th graders: The CSF application for Spring 2024 is now available. Applications are due on 10/1. Current 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are eligible to apply. You must earn 10 points to qualify and must have earned As, Bs, and Cs in the qualifying classes.

Liberty Picks New Head Track & Field Coach
THE BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIAN (By Ron Stapp) - Former Cal State Bakersfield and North High standout runner Curtis Threlkeld accepted a position Thursday as the next head track and field coach at Liberty. The 2016 North graduate, who coached the Stars’ track and field program the last two years, replaces the highly-successful Ryan Renz.
