Students participated in a variety of activities designed to highlight the richness and diversity of Hispanic cultures. From games and art displays to dance and community engagement, the celebration provided a joyful reminder of the importance of representation and inclusion on campus.
PODER advisor Marycoco Ramirez shared the inspiration behind the event, saying,
“The PODER girls wanted to highlight the beauty of the Hispanic cultures by creating a space with activities where students could have fun, connect, share culture, feel appreciated, and feel safe to be their authentic self. The girls are proud and hope that the school continues to celebrate and embrace not just the Hispanic culture, but all the other cultures within our educational community. They hope that this is the first celebration of many and look forward to the Cinco de Mayo celebration in 2026.”
Student Jasmine Cardenas reflected on what the event meant to her personally, saying,
“Seeing my culture celebrated and represented at school opened my eyes to the power I have, as a Latina, to help cultivate events like this with the support of my group members.”
The event reflected Liberty’s ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity and fostering a sense of belonging among all students. Through collaboration, creativity, and pride, PODER and Listos demonstrated how student leadership and cultural appreciation can bring the Liberty community closer together.
