Liberty High Partners with CAPK for This Year’s Schoolwide Community Service Project

Through this partnership, Liberty students will have the opportunity to contribute their time and effort to CAPK’s mission of service, allowing students to see firsthand how small acts of service can make a lasting difference.

This past week, several members of Liberty’s Associated Student Body (ASB) volunteered with CAPK to help prepare food boxes for local families. Working together, students organized and assembled boxes that will soon reach households across Kern County, providing nourishment and encouragement to those facing hardship.

ASB member Amelia Riley reflected on the experience, sharing:

“The box building was a very good way to give back to the community and do something selfless for others. It was really awesome to know that it was going to people in the Kern community.”

Fellow ASB student Lucas Hurst added:

“It was a fun way to give back to the community and really put our hardworking brains to good use. It was uplifting being able to support the people of our community and do something bigger than ourselves.”

Their words capture the spirit of Liberty’s partnership with CAPK—one rooted in generosity, empathy, and the shared belief that when we serve together, we strengthen our community.

As the year continues, Liberty students and staff will take part in additional service opportunities with CAPK, reinforcing the school’s commitment to civic engagement and the power of collective kindness. Together, Liberty and CAPK are making a tangible difference in the lives of Kern County families.
