Parents on a Mission Course

The program, called Parents on a Mission, meets on consecutive Wednesday evenings in the LHS Parent and Family Center, located in the Administration Building in the Counseling Department. The four Wednesdays are Feb. 28, March 6, March 13 and March 20. The evening begins with dinner at 5:30 p.m. with the class beginning at 6 p.m. 

Topics are: “Be a Leader in Your Family” (Feb. 28), “Bring the Family Closer Together" (March 6), “Be Your Child’s Hero” (March 13) and “Keep Your Children from Negative Influences” (March 20). 

Facilitator for the POM classes is Esequiel Esparza, a Parent Liaison at East High School, who has been facilitating Parents on a Mission for more than seven years. Parents on a Mission empowers parents to: Experience their maximum parent potential, Lead their children in close, meaningful relationships, and reconcile broken relationships. Each parent or caregiver will receive a free handbook to guide them through each step of the process.
