Academic Decathlon is made up of 10 events including art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, music, science, social science, and speech, plus a “Super Quiz.” The majority of the subjects were contested virtually on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Saturday’s contest featured the final two in-person categories — the speech competition and the Super Quiz.
The students were coached by LHS teachers Brian Hartman and Rosa Rascon. “We are proud of our team and their efforts, but most of all, we are proud of their growth as human beings,” coach Rosa Rascon said. “ They are all truly remarkable.”
