Of the 40 units collected, 29 were from first-time donors, according to the blood bank. Each unit can be used to provide important life-saving blood to three patients, so the Liberty drive contributed to helping 120 people in need.
"Liberty High School's commitment to hosting a blood drive is truly inspiring,” Houchin’s Director of Donor Relations Anna Kazaryan said, adding her thanks to the donors. ”Thank you for making a difference and embodying the spirit of compassion and community. Your kindness will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact. You are all true Patriots."
Houchin Community Blood Bank will be back on campus in January for another blood drive.
