Laurey rejects Curly's invitation to the Box Social as Curly’s date, instead going with the shady farmhand Jud Fry to make him jealous. On the other hand, Ado Annie is having a struggle of her own, choosing who she loves more: Ali Hakim, the peddler man, or Will Parker, a hapless and dim-witted cowboy.
