Science teacher Chris Barron said, “The SoFi tour was a great opportunity to show our prospective engineering students the possibilities to work on not only huge projects, but state-of-the-art engineering and construction.” He added that the trip was “a great opportunity to see that what we learn in class can translate to many excellent college experiences and job opportunities.”
The students also had a chance to play catch on the football field where professional football players play. The stadium was built to withstand a 10.2 earthquake. The jumbotron at SoFi is the largest screen in sports history, and the students learned about the many different types of engineers who were involved in creating and maintaining it.
