Social studies teacher Amanda Brummer’s second period class brought in exactly $250 in dimes, earning 25,000 points and a donut party. Second place class winner was science teacher Katie Padrick’s class with $209.25 raised and 16,008 points earned. Third place class was Spanish teacher Keri Borda’s class, which raised $159.23 and earned 6,937 points. The rally drive brought in $434.86 and the rest of the total donated came from classrooms all over campus.
All forms of money were welcome for the competition, but only dimes counted for positive points. Students could sabotage other classrooms’ buckets by adding currency other than dimes. “Thanks to all who participated!” Activities Director Brooke Slayton said.
Marley’s Mutts, which was chosen as a recipient for this school year’s community service project, will be bringing puppies to campus at lunch Friday, March 24, for students to enjoy.
