We offer two different pathways: Engineering and Biomedical Science (application must be submitted to be considered for the program)
Here is the description of the freshman engineering class:
9th: Introduction to Design CP—Students dig deep into the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to hands-on projects. They work both individually and in teams to design solutions to a variety of problems using 3D modeling software, and use an engineering notebook to document.
Here is the description of the freshman biomedical science class:
9th: Principles of Biomedical — Students explore concepts of biology and medicine to determine factors that led to the death of a fictional person. While investigating the case, students examine autopsy reports, investigate medical history, and explore medical treatments that might have prolonged the person’s life. The activities and projects introduce students to human physiology, basic biology, medicine, and research processes while allowing them to design their own experiments to solve problems.
How to Apply for Project Lead the Way
Follow this link to access the application which is due on April 20, 2020.
All students interested in participating in a Liberty High School sport must compete a Sportsnet account and a physical exam from your primary family physician. Please go to www.sportsnethost.com/libertyhs to create an online account for your student. You can also find more information on the Liberty High School website under athletics. You can upload students’ physical exams directly into your Sportsnet account, if for some reason you are unable to upload physical exam online you can turn it into the Athletic office prior to your student participating in a sport. (Do not turn in sports physicals to a coach, they must be uploaded or turned in to the athletic office to be cleared)
Please Note: Sports Physicals are valid for only one school year and you much also update your Sportsnet account each year that your student participates at Liberty High School.
If you have any question please contact the athletic office.
