good morning Patriots on Parker colletti working on the walls is a program designed to unify and power and engage students to create a more positive and supportive campus climate starting Monday students will be trained in running the program Edgar Quintero said that story Edgar hey guys is under Cantera Stewart LHS news next week will be having a program called breaking on the walls visiting here's vice principal Joshua and some more information on that the purpose of Breaking Down the Walls is to help you find breed together all the students Liberty High School on Monday will each class will have an assembly that will take place during 2nd. And we look forward to a great motivational speaker during that time. Each of the next two days Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday to be a hundred fifty students along with staff members that go through intensive training 2nd through 7th. We really look forward to this enhancing our culture and our just the support that we have on campus and we look forward to a great time thank you mr. Alan's for the information for the assembly next week Patriots back to us in the studio has become a tradition bring together the community and the vision Texans 1998 using the asphalt as canvases Spectators watch each year as professional and student artist unlock their imaginations and turn the parking lot at the marketplace into a gallery of amazing chalk masterpieces here's chance Henry with more I changed in here at Liberty news last week in summer at Liberty student went to the RTA here's some of their drawings that they did on the sidewalk you guys did a great job that's awesome amazing drawings back to you guys in the studio thanks fans every absence threatens the ability of students to succeed at school and schools to achieve their mission attendance is a constant concern in schools so the district held attendance awareness art contest Tyler Lim being with that story Tyler hey I just tell him being here with LHS news this week we had Lisa Kirsch to come to her school to present attendance awareness art contest rewards what happened here this morning I was able to come in and to what are the top three winners in the district attendance awareness art program with their Wards and so we recognize the third place person and the second-place person and then we gave our first place winner and autographed picture of David Derek Carr from their days playing up at Fresno State these are both gentlemen who are from Bakersfield who went on to play at Fresno State and then on to the NFL so the price is pretty exciting now we had people from across the district participate in it art program and again it was for attendance awareness and we had the top three finishers in mrs. Brown's class so it's very exciting for Liberty High School graduation Chloe lobes and first place winner Julianne Barrios but you guys missing you thanks other not hear the word from our sponsor paint brush Twitter Hairspray let's go graduated from high school moving to college can be a scary thing of course we have counselors here to help but did you know we have a specialist I can offer even more help we have a rep from Kelso California students opportunity and access program and the career center that can help make the transition to college easier here is Josh Ronda with that story Josh hi I'm Josh the front of it or just news and today we had a bit of a hundred Padilla on concerning FAFSA Cal soap I'm the professional expert here at Liberty High School so if you guys haven't noticed financial aid opened up October 1st and it closes March 2nd that applies for both plasma and the California Dream Act if you're wondering which one you need to fill out if how does social you'll be filling out the FAFSA and if you don't have a social in your California resident you'll be doing the DREAM Act go to the career center in Fall blue slip-on dress your front and back to you guys in the studio thanks Josh on Wednesday October 18th we had several community members visit our campus from Principal Partners they're here is Jacob cotton with that story Jacob last October 18th as part of their here's more on that segment house or principal partner today is a half day event that begins simultaneously at 20% High School District sites more than 400 local businesses government educational leaders will spend the morning at one of the schools the veterans of the luncheon at the DoubleTree Hotel in Alsip Brian Shaffer our education director of program is a perfect opportunity to get a first-hand look at how the district's win-win partnership benefits our students and our community and shows off her campus about two guys in studio thanks Project Lead the Way classes took a trip to Fresno State University to see the engineering program here's Emily Martin with that Emily project on a field trip to Fresno and his patrons with more information on that I am in and recently the project lead the way just travel to Fresno State for a college tour it was really awesome we had two sessions to go to and we learned a lot and had a great trip with a pack of us back to you guys in the studio thanks Emily last weekend several Liberty students were involved in the district Shakespeare Festival at Foothill High School here is Chris Bell with the story on that Chris good morning or Danielle 18749 Liberty High School Theatre Department won't be performing at Shakespeare Festival at Foothill looking forward to a lot of things but I definitely like most looking forward to being able to meet other people and it's the other people scenes and just learn from them and I'll say it again constructive criticism from The Judd I'm most looking forward to performing my trailer this Saturday my partners and I have been rehearsing very hard and I'm very excited to see the end result Liberty High School Theatre department will be performing at the peg Paula Shakespeare Festival at Foothill High School this Friday and Saturday we tend to do quite well at these festivals and this year is no exception I think the students are ready they are the reversed and they're going to do fine thinking about to you guys out in the stereo thanks Chris now here's a word from our sponsors to leave slips in a guy no again is Spider-Man in philosophy science and Communications where I decree change during the 18th century as a part of a movement referred to as the enlightenment or AP European History Class that taken on the task of revisiting the historical PA here's Regina Sanchez with that story Regina dressed up in 17th and 18th century fashion and how to stack Alex I'm not talking about the political and economic ideas of the Enlightenment era care if you highlights good job everyone who participated back to you guys in the studio where they learn about career choices in preparation for Life After High School in addition to the information learned in the class all students can take in a Vantage of an online program called Naviance here's Mia Walker with more on that Mia my name is Mia today I got an interview with our assistant principal mr. Williams sure to talk a little bit about Naviance we encourage all the students to get their account activated it can be found through the school website under counseling on the menu tab Naviance is a great opportunity for students and parents to get connected to interesting colleges and careers or Justin opportunities that are available to you so take a look thank you the night before the test relax avoid screen time and have a healthy dinner put your ID Administration ticket pencil and calculator and a bag by the door on testing date wake up early and have a healthy breakfast every question on Sat is worth the same easy and medium questions correct first before trying to crack a harder question don't leave anything blank on the new sat there is no penalty for guessing so if you don't know an answer go ahead and guess you might get lucky process of elimination crossing our choices as to go along really helps when you get that feeling that you might need to guess good luck Daylight Savings Time ends on Saturday November 4th your clocks on your cell phone and cable box will automatically turn back one hour but other Foxwell make sure to check all your clocks like your alarm clock or the clock in your car alright so the first type of ring that Ryan to Harrison AR alright I I I need you to hurry up and set up the next Club because we have football highlights okay can you can you bring up the other computer please anyways our first ever get right into his volleyball right now what is 8 and 1 in length on Tuesday we played Centennial and we won 3 to 1 congratulations on that win and last Tuesday we played Garza's and that's where was 3-1 also congratulations on our score girls also the news tennis last Monday and Tuesday or singles player Peyton Ren's got second overall for a league and our doubles team got 7th from Sophia and Simeon gratulations the final I get Ryan to his last week we played Garcia's that score was 45 to $0.13 cross has two touchdowns Alvarez has two touchdowns one from Shores from Stuart and we can also forget Paxton wonders who did a field goal and then two weeks ago we played stock down me one that's why I was 33 to 22 so here are some highlights from that game that's going to be at for the news guys I miss my pastor Michael can I see you guys back in 2 weeks when is the late start again or 8th and a row and now next week's weather forecast next week we will drop down to the highest 70s thanks guys back to you in the studio thanks for watching see you back here two weeks have a nice see you at the game tonight at Centennial
